The Courage Foundation is an international organisation dedicated to the protection of journalistic sources. Wiki Leaks publishes documents of political or historical importance that are censored or otherwise suppressed.
We specialise in strategic global publishing and large archives.
We aim to achieve this by providing clear and understandable notices of our privacy practices that enable our stakeholders to make meaningful choices about how we collect, use and disclose personal information about them.
We offer both brief point of collection privacy notices and comprehensive privacy notices.
If you do this and are a high-risk source you should make sure there are no traces of the clean-up, since such traces themselves may draw suspicion.
If a legal action is brought against you as a result of your submission, there are organisations that may help you.
Over 2016/17 it is working on Wiki Loves Women (in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut), Wiki Pack Africa, Wiki Fundi and the Wiki Challenge African Schools (funded by the Orange Foundation), Wiki Africa Schools (funded by lettera27), Wikipedia Primary (funded by SUPSI) and Wiki Loves Africa (funded by Wikimedia Foundation).
A key element in our approach to privacy at the new Merck is our commitment to transparency in our privacy program.
